Dallas, TX USA - There's one good reason class of 2020 basketballer Liz Smith can relate to a ball, because both remain on a roll. Dallas Area Catholic School and historical basketball powerhouse Bishop Lynch High School held their annual Bishop Lynch Lady Friar Freshman Tournament on November 14th and 15th. Both private and public schools participated in this highly competitive tournament held at Bishop Lynch High School. Liz Smith who entered the contest playing for her "school ball" team - Home School Athletic Association (HSAA) was determined from the opening tip to bring home the hardware for her team. Smith recalls, "it's not about the trophy at the end until we're holding the trophy at the end...our 8th grade team had to play extraordinary to get to the end and that's what I tried to do each possession." Play extraordinary she did indeed - in the first round of the tournament, Liz had already put up 13 points in just 6 minutes of playing time - yes from a 7th grader the notice was sent. And by the way, she's only 12 years old!

Bibi McGill is an internationally known musician, lead guitarist for Beyonce, an acclaimed yoga teacher, wellness educator, and health food entrepreneur. Since discovering yoga in 1998, Bibi has traveled around the world extensively studying numerous Classical 8 Limb Yoga Systems including Ashtanga and Kundalini Yoga. Bibi’s Yoga is a practice that challenges the body while supporting spiritual growth within each and every student. An advocate of making yoga available to everyone, Bibi is actively involved with Street Yoga, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading healing and wellness to youth populations.
